Valley Spikers Rally, But Fall To Bremen

AKRON — Falling behind 2-0, the Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team fought back to force a fifth game, but dropped it at home against Bremen Thursday.
With the emotion of celebrating senior night, the Tippecanoe Valley Lady Vikings dropped the opening two games (25-19, 25-17), but regrouped to take the next two (25-21, 25-18).
In the first-to-15 third set, the visiting Lady Lions came out on top, taking it 15-10, dropping Valley to 17-11 on the year.
In her final match on her home court, senior Caylie Teel had 27 kills, seven digs, four aces and three blocks.
Fellow seniors Jaden Biddle and Tenaya Shull had 17 digs and 16 assists, respectively.
Also for Valley, junior Maddy Henninger led the team with 27 assists, junior Rebecca Murphy recorded six assists and sophomore Abby Betten finished with 13 kills, followed by junior Lexi O'Connell's seven.
The Lady Vikings wrap up their regular season at Saturday's Warsaw Spiker Invitational, joining South Bend Adams, Northfield and host Warsaw.
