By Staff Report-

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley held off a late charge in the first game, then scored once in the bottom of the seventh for a walkoff win in game two to sweep a softball doubleheader from visiting John Glenn, 13-12 and 17-16.
In the first game the Lady Vikings took a 11-2 lead after five innings, narrowly missing a run-rule win. The Lady Falcons scored 10 runs over their last two innings, and a two-run sixth inning for Valley was insurance it needed to secure the win.
Game two was a see-saw affair with Glenn leading 8-6 after two innings, and Valley enjoying a 12-8 lead after four. Each team scored three times in the fifth inning before Glenn took a 16-15 lead in the top of the sixth. Valley scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to get the win and the sweep.
The Lady Vikings (4-3) will travel to Culver Academies for a game Tuesday.
