Valley Announces Summer Learn-To-Swim Classes

AKRON - Free swim lessons will be available to patrons of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. during its Summer Learn-to-Swim program.

There will be four different levels offered during two sessions in June.

Session I runs from June 4-11 followed by session II from June 12-19. The parent/child class is for children 6 months to 3 years old and a parent must be in the water with the child.[[In-content Ad]]Two separate Level 1 beginners classes are for children who will become comfortable in the water and introduced to basic skills. The Level 2 Fundamental Skills class is for children who will learn to swim on their front and back using the appropriate skills. The Level 3 Stroke Development class will build on the skills previously learned in level 2.

The parent/child class runs from noon to 12:45 p.m., followed by two Level 1 classes from 1 to 1:55 p.m. and 2 to 2:55 p.m. The Level 2 class runs from 3 to 3:55 p.m. followed by the Level 3 class from 4 to 4:55 p.m.

Class size is limited and children are subject to change classes due to ability level.
