United Way 211 has launched its new regional website, www.myuw211.org

United Way 211 is the nationally designated number for information and referral across the country. It quickly and efficiently connects callers with local human, health and social services in their community.

The Regional 211 database includes more than 2,000 local agencies with approximately 8,000 programs and services in Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph counties.

Until now, 211 had a more limited database and only provided web services to LaPorte County. With the new regional website, in addition to call capabilities, the entire region will be able to access the new, larger database through chat and search capabilities. Users can chat live with a specialist or search the expansive 211 database by keyword. The new website adds more convenience and anonymity to an already significant local resource.[[In-content Ad]]United Way 211 is the bridge between the community and the answers residents need to find local services - from general community information to counseling, food, clothing, after-school programs, shelter, legal and financial assistance and more.
