Ultralight Aircraft Crashes; Pilot Dies

Just before 11 a.m. today, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to a fatal accident involving an ultralight aircraft.

As of press time, only one person was known to be involved in the accident that occurred in the area of 9307 E. CR 250N, north of Jellystone Park, Pierceton. The identity of the pilot was not released.

With the glider fatality and the five-car pile-up on the exit ramp of U.S. 30 and Ind. 15, (photo, pag e2A) the Kosciusko County Central Dispatch was so busy this morning that Marshall and Fulton counties reportedly were handling 911 calls.
