Two Warsaw juveniles were preliminarily charged with auto theft after an alleged joy ride that began in Warsaw and ended in a one-vehicle accident in Wabash.

Daniel Ramon Olivo, 13, of 3034 West Creek Road, and a 12-year-old boy were preliminarily charged with auto theft, according to Warsaw Police Department records. The two boys allegedly stole a pickup from the parking lot of Ivy Tech, East Smith Street, Warsaw.

The owner of the truck, Stephen Arthur Grill, Stonecamp Drive, Winona Lake, learned his truck was missing when he was notified by Indiana State Patrol that it was involved in a one-vehicle accident near Disko. Grill then checked the parking lot of school and realized his truck was gone, according to police reports.

ISP officers returned the two boys - who allegedly abandoned the wrecked truck - to WPD, where they were preliminarily charged and released to guardians. [[In-content Ad]]
