Kosciusko County officers arrest two individuals this week on meth related charges while they continue to search for a third suspect.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded Monday at 3:42 a.m. to the area of CR 450 North and Brown Road in regard to a suspicious vehicle.  Deputies saw upon arrival a male occupant of the vehicle fleeing on foot, but took a passenger into custody.
Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers arrested and preliminarily charged Nicole Lynn Winstead, 27, Claypool, with felony dealing methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors and manufacturing meth after locating a portable meth lab inside the vehicle.  Winstead was also determined to have an active misdemeanor warrant for theft.
Officers were able to identity the man who had fled as Kane Edward Hively, 27, Warsaw.  Winstead is being held on a $4,500 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail while officers have obtained an arrest warrant for Hively.
DTF officers were also contacted Wednesday night after Mentone officers approached a residence near the intersection of Ind. 19 and CR 200 South, and detected an odor associated with meth making.  The homeowner, identified as Billy Laurance Baldridge, 41, Mentone, returned shortly afterward. Baldridge was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing meth after officers found a meth lab inside his residence.  Baldridge is being held on a $4,000 bond at the Kosciusko County Jail.
Members of the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team were summoned to both locations to secure the meth labs. Along with the Mentone Police Department, officers with the Warsaw Police Narcotic Task Force and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office assisted in the arrests.[[In-content Ad]]
