He did a great job. We asked him to take long snap counts to take time off the clock," Triton coach Rodney Younis said.
Triton's Reggie Davis led off the game with a 52-yard run to set up the opening touchdown. Six plays later Chad Ulmer dove from the one to send Triton up 7-0.
South Newton immediately went to work against the Trojan defense. Ben Welsh hit Brice Wiley for a 70-yard touchdown pass and a tie at 7-7.

"The defense did a great job for us tonight. We made some great plays starting with the fumble recovery at our 3-yard line," Younis said.

The Rebels marched down the field on their next possesion and pulled to with in two points with Welsh hit Wiley from four yards out. The two point conversion failed.
Moriarity then scored for Triton after a long drive on a pss from McIntyre from 10 yards out. Tyler Borsa's extra point was good.
"I am proud of the way the guys played tonight. They never once held their heads down and they rallied when they needed to," Younis said.
Adam Creighbnaum finished the scoring in the second when he ran around the end and ran 74 yards for the score. Triton led at the half 28-13.

"What can you say about Adam. He had some great runs tonight including the big run for 74 yards," Younis said.
Triton travels to Churubusco next Friday for the regionals. Churubusco (10-2) beat Adams Central 17-14 to advance to the next round.
"Churubusco is a tough team and we have our work cut out for us. They won the sectional a couple of years ago. They aslo came down from Class 2A. It should be a good game," Younis said.
