Triton Sweeps Doubleheader From John Glenn

The Lady Falcons were the home team in the second game to make up for a rained out game earlier this season.
In Game 1, the Lady Trojans scored five times in the second inning, then chipped away with single runs in the next two frames and a pair of tallies in both the fifth and sixth innings to invoke the run rule. Kayla Kreft, Taytum Hargrave and Hannah Jennings had three hits each for Triton in the opener.
The nightcap saw Triton get out of the gate fast, with 10 runs in the first inning and six more in the second. Courtney Jennings pitched all five innings, striking out four in her time in the circle. Hannah Jennings and Megan Berger drove in three runs each, and Zoee Stephan drove in two for Triton.
The Lady Trojans will host LaVille this afternoon.

Kaelyn Mason and Hannah Wanemacher each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0, while Shayla May had her match go to a second set tiebreaker before her straight set win. Kylie Mason and Kolbie Mason won at No. 1 doubles 7-5, 7-5, and Quinn Downing and Emma Ross came back from down a set to secure the sweep for the Lady Trojans, 4-6. 6-3, 7-5.
Next up for Triton is the final Northern State Conference tournament in Bremen beginning on Thursday.

Smith won the first set tiebreaker, the place where the match was suspended a week ago, then won the second set 6-2 to give Warsaw the win.
Both teams will compete in the Northern Lakes Conference tournament, beginning with the opening round today in Plymouth.
