Triton Girls Tennis Sweeps Knox

KNOX – Triton opened its girls tennis season with a 5-0 win over Knox in Hoosier North Athletic Conference competition Monday. The Lady  Trojans did not drop a set in the match, and needed just one tiebreaker in the sweep.
Shayla May dropped just one game at No. 1 singles, and Kolbie Mason had a closer second set in her win at No. 2 singles. Quinn Downing dropped a total of nine games before securing her win.
The doubles matches were a little closer, with Hannah Wanemacher and Emma Ross teaming up to win at No. 1 and Megan mcFarland and Kaitlyn Bailey taking the victory at No. 2.
The Lady Trojans will next travel to Akron to take on Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday.
