NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Triton Concession Building
for
Triton School Corporation
    Notice is hereby given, the Triton School Corporation, will receive unified general construction bids for a new concessions and toilet room facility. Sealed bids must be submitted at the office of the Superintendent, 100 Triton Drive, Bourbon, Indiana 46504 until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Bids will be opened at that time and taken under advisement.  A pre-bid meeting to discuss the architectural drawing will be held at the office of the Superintendent on July 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., local time. All bidders are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.
    The contract documents [drawings] prepared by Wesley D. Welsh, Architect, are available for bidders from Eastern Engineering Supply Reprographics, 1203 Webster Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802, toll free telephone no. 866-782-4115.
    Bidders will be required to submit:  financial statement; statement of experience; proposed plan or plans for performing public work; the equipment that the bidder has available for the performance of the work; and a non-collusion affidavit. This information must be submitted on forms prescribed by the State Board of Accounts (Form 96). All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the name of the project and the contractor’s name and address.
    No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of the bids.                                                                         
    Three (3) separate bonds are required: Bid Bond (or certified check made payable to Triton School Corporation); Performance Bond; and Payment Bond.
    Bid Bond (or certified check) shall be in an amount of five percent (5%) of the contract price and must be made payable to the Triton School Corporation. All checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them by the Triton School Corporation upon selection of the successful bidder. Checks of the successful bidders shall be held until delivery of the performance bond.
    Payment Bond: the successful bidder must execute a Payment Bond in an amount equal to the contract price and must state that it is for the benefit of the subcontractors, laborers, material suppliers and those performing services.
    Performance Bond: the successful bidder shall deliver a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the contract price.
