Chelsea Hershberger was awarded the first Tri Kappa Centennial Scholarship from the Warsaw Alpha Lambda chapter June 2. Hershberger is the daughter of active Tri Kappa member Lisa Hershberger and her husband Troy. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in June and plans to enter Purdue University in the fall to study movement and sports science. This scholarship was created in 2009 to mark 100 years of the chapter in Kosciusko County. The honor is to be awarded annually to the daughter of a Tri Kappa member who is a graduating high school senior who demonstrated a commitment to the ideals of Tri Kappa (charity, culture and education) throughout her high school career. Past and present members generously donated to endow this scholarship which is to be awarded annually at new member Initiation. The recipient was selected by blind applications reviewed by members of another Tri Kappa chapter.
