City of Warsaw. Did you know we have an ordinance that states that our trash cans can't exceed 32 gal?

Well I guess you wouldn't unless you were either bored and reading the city ordinances for fun or have been tagged by our lovely city trash employees.

I bought two new trash cans at Menard's three months ago. I chose them because they had better wheels to make it a little easier to wheel down our drive to the curb.

We used them for two months without any word never putting more than the same usual load our old cans held which apparently were 32 gal.

Our new cans are 50 gal. I only know this because of the notices I've been receiving for the last month. Notice: Can cannot exceed 32 gal.

Yours is (50 gal.) Now in comparison they are the same size around only about another 12 inches taller.

We received the first notice after two months of using them.

Makes it a little hard to return them and get smaller ones after being used that long.

If you've priced cans lately its ridiculous. I spent about 50 dollars apiece for the nicer ones and now after two months and I can't take them back they want to start harassing me about the size.

I wrote them a letter back and left it with my can the following week, stating my situation in a polite manner and told them I would keep it to three bag limit per can and my intent wasn't to make someone hurt their back.

I realize it is to protect these guys while doing there job. But after I wrote the note they took it another week without a word. Then when I thought we had an understanding! bam!

Another notice! And my trash wasn't taken!

I have talked to several tax paying folks that have encountered similar harassment like this.

I think its pathetic that we pay them to do us a service and they want to always try to do as little as possible.

I really hate to say it but man up boys!

Isn't there two or three or four of you walking around behind that truck at all times. Plus another following in a pickup truck as well.

I'll buy new cans rather than keep hearing your crying.

Lets see what else they will harass me about next.

If you don't like your job then quit. There are others in need who will do it with a smile and no tears!

Now let's hear what momma has to say on the subject?
