Traci A. Streby Cox, 51, Richmond, Texas, passed away of triple negative breast cancer Feb. 4, 2015, at her residence and now rests in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born April 23, 1963, in Warsaw, to Ronald and Carolyn Streby. On Nov. 23, 1983, she married the love of her life, M. David Cox, who survives.
They raised three children together.
She attended Wawasee High School. As an accountant, she worked for family-owned Penguin Point Franchise Systems, had her own business in tax preparation and most recently was employed by Sysco Foods, first in Ocoee, Fla., and later as a corporate financial analyst in Houston, Texas.
During her illness, she was guided by her strong faith, and was always the epitome of resilience and inspiration with her strong will and unending support of her family and close friends.
Also surviving are her parents, Ronald and Carolyn Streby, Goshen; a son, Spc. Drew Cox NCARNG (and fiancé Rebecca Yeager), Wake Forest, N.C.; two daughters, Alyssa (and spouse Justin) All, Rosenberg, Texas, and AFC. Whitley Cox USAF, Panama City Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Lee Streby, South Bend, and Jeff (and spouse Brandi) Streby, Syracuse; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was delighted to be Grammy to Alyssa and Justin’s three daughters: Lyla, Makayla and Haylee.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McHatton Sadler Funeral Home, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
Calling is at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
