PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE On or about June 12,2009, the Town of Leesburg intends to apply to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs for a grant from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs CDBG Disaster Recovery Appropriation. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. These funds are to be used for community disaster assistance. The Town of Leesburg intends using the Disaster Relief funds to construct storm drainage to reduce future flooding problems. The total amount of Disaster Recovery funds to be requested is $1,000,000, The amount of Disaster Recovery funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit low- and moderate income persons is $703,000. The Applicant plans spending no local funds. The Town of Leesburg will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 8th, 2009, at 7:00 P.M. in the Leesburg Town Hall located at 100 E. Van Buren St. to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federally funded CDBG Disaster Recovery project.
