Tonya L. Wright, 50, of Elkhart, formerly of Syracuse, died at 1:09 p.m. May 15, 2011, in her home.
She was born April 6, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Gerald Ray and Patricia Ann Hensley Hastings.
She grew up in Ohio and attended Upper Scioto Valley High School, McGuffey, Ohio. She was a homemaker and had a sewing business in her home. She formerly lived in Syracuse from 1992 to 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Lindsay Wright, Syracuse; two sons, Dustin Wright, Columbia City, and Lance Wright, Syracuse; a granddaughter, Macenzae; her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Ron Nelson, Ada, Ohio; her father and stepmother, Gerald and Barbara Hastings, Dunkirk, Ohio; a sister, Sandy (and spouse Dave) Peihl, Harrod, Ohio; a brother, Gary Hastings Jr., Syracuse; two half sisters, Leslie (and spouse Frank) Talarico, Warren, Mich., and Shauna Hensley, California; four half brothers: Donald Hastings, Lima, Ohio; Derek Hastings, Forest, Ohio; Ronnie Nelson, and Jon (and spouse Jennifer) Nelson, all of Ada, Ohio; a step sister, Tracy Settlemier, Findlay, Ohio; and two step brothers, Jerry Smith, Celina, Ohio, and James Smith, Dunkirk, Ohio.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Rev. Craig Fritchley, The Sanctuary, officiating.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
