NAPPANEE - Tobias R. Miller, 92, of 30251 CR 56, Nappanee, died of natural causes at 11:30 p.m. June 28, 2008, in his residence.

He was born March 23, 1916, in Newton County, to Roman E. and Mattie Yoder Miller. On Feb. 11, 1940, he married Clara Frey, who died Dec. 24, 2002.

He was a member of Old Order Amish Church, where he was ordained to the ministry in 1943. He was a retired carpenter and farmer.

Surviving are five daughters: Elnora (and spouse Eddie) Borkholder, Wakarusa; Marilyn (and spouse Mahlon) Borkholder, Leona (and spouse Fred) Miller and Sue (and spouse John) Helmuth, all of Nappanee; and Linda Yoder, Etna Green; a son, Edward (and spouse Nancy) Miller, Nappanee; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Edward (and spouse Velma) Miller and Marvin (and spouse Lydia Mae) Miller, both of Goshen, and Roman Jr. (and spouse Barbara) Miller, Nappanee; and four sisters: Ruby Mast, Elnora (and spouse Owen) Yoder, both of Nappanee; Katie (and spouse Isaac) Mullet, Etna Green; and Lydia Mae (and spouse Kenneth) Yoder, Sarasota, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the family residence with Bishop Emery Yoder officiating, assisted by Home Ministry. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.

Calling is all day today at the Edward Miller residence at 30237 CR 56.
