By Staff Report-

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley High School seniors ranked first out of 12 area high schools and eighth out of 358 Indiana schools for the percentage of students that completed the 2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, according to a press release from the school corporation.
The FAFSA is a form that can be prepared annually by current or prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid. Completion of the FAFSA is a gateway of consideration for nine federal student-aid programs, hundreds of state aid programs, and most available college/university aid. Timely completion of the FAFSA provides current high school seniors with consideration for maximum financial assistance for college.
According to the release, the FAFSA filing rates for several area schools are:
1. Tippecanoe Valley High School, 86 percent of the senior class filed the FAFSA.
2. Triton High School, 83 percent.
4. Manchester High School, 59 percent.
4. Whitko High School, 59 percent.
8.    Warsaw Community High School, 51 percent.
