Tippecanoe Valley Registration Announced
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
By Staff Report-
Registration will be held at each school from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Parents of kindergarten children are asked to bring their child to registration for kindergarten testing.
At TVHS, students entering 11th and 12th grades are asked to register Wednesday. Students entering grades ninth and 10th are asked to register Thursday.
High school students new to the district are to contact the high school office at 574-353-7031, Ext. 2420, beginning Wednesday to schedule an appointment. Appointments will be made for Aug. 11-13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. is also offering an online registration process for those who would like to complete all the necessary paperwork prior to registration. Visit www.tvsc.k12.in.us for access to the online registration for new and returning students.
New to the district, the online student registration system is a secure and green process, allowing the corporation to verify all demographic, emergency and medical information for students prior to the start of the school year. The system allows parents and guardians to electronically sign the annual permission forms for school corporation policies, links to free and reduced meal applications, and provides online payment options for textbook and meal fees. The student’s five-digit lunch code is needed to make payment using the eFunds payment option.
This online process replaces all the hard copy student registration and permission forms previously completed during the annual student registration process, allowing them to be completed from home.
Returning families should already have received a letter from their child’s school with instructions on how to access the system and complete the online registration process. The letter contains a link/instructions and a secure “snapcode” that links directly their child’s information. Parents will create an account that they will use each year to submit a form for each child in their family. To make the process easier for families with multiple students, parents will have the option to copy all generic family information to all other students in their family. If a parent has yet to receive this letter, contact your child’s school.
For new families wishing to enroll students for the first time at Tippecanoe Valley, there is a link on the corporation website (www.tvsc.k12.in.us) that will direct families to the online enrollment process. Parents can create an account to submit a form for each student they are enrolling and also have the option to copy all generic family information to all other students in the family if enrolling more than one student.
Families are asked to complete the online registration process as soon as possible after receiving the letter from the school. A student’s registration will not be complete until the forms have been submitted. Parents without Internet access may use a school computer to complete the process during registration Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. each day.
The first student day of the 2014-15 school year is Aug. 15.[[In-content Ad]]
