Tippecanoe Valley Fall Sports Award Winners Announced

Tippecanoe Valley’a athletic department announced its fall sports award winners on Wednesday.
In girls golf, Vicotria Biddle won the medalist award and putting trophy. Makayla Sandbakken won the mental attitude award and Lexi Cumberland was recognized as most improved. Biddle and Elizabeth VanMeter were recognized for their service as captains, and Blake McBrier won the Booster Club award.
Trevor Neeley of the boys tennis team was honored as the No. 1 singles player, team captain, and shared the best record award with Mental Attitude award winner Kane Stellar. Keith Wright was the Most Improved Player recipient, while Parkur Dalrymple won the JV Most Improved award. Nick Caudill was the Booster Club award winner.
Jesse Floor and Karly Kitch were voted MVPs of the boys and girls cross country teams, respectively. Josh Back and Tori Miller were named most improved, while Jared Mikel and Lexi Durkes won the mental attitude awards. Breelyn Conley, Brooklyn Conley,  Kitch, Andy Herrera, Shay Merley, Tyler Ross, Josh Back and Floor were recogniozed as team captains, with Merley and Breelyn Conley earning the Booster Club awards.
The volleyball team recognized Lexi O’Connell for the most blocks and the most digs. Abby Betten, Maddy Henninger and O’Connell were recognized as team captains. Betten had the most kills and the best passing percentage, and Henninger had the highest serving percentage, the most assists and was voted most improved. Shayleigh Shriver had the most aces, Sophie Bussard won the Mental Attitude award, and Olivia Trippiedi won the Booster Club award.
The football team named its MVPs with Harrison Sponseller winning at linebacker, and Kyle VanDiepenbos, Ben Slone and Dalton Prater sharing the lineman award. The MVP in the defensive secondary was D.J. Heckaman, and the top receiver was Brandon Webster. The special teams MVP was kicker Luca Jeckstadt, and Garret Bell was tabbed as the offensive back MVP and the overall team MVP.
Captains Awards went to Webster, Nick Feldman, Isaac Sponseller, and VanDiepenbos. Feldman was named Most Improved and won the Iron Man award along with Avander Wimsatt, Jonathon Daily,  Austin Vining and Jon Humes.
Isaac Sponseller won the Mental Attitude award, Cole Cumberland the Warrior Award and Damon Ebey the Booster Club award.
Cheerleader Shayla Hoffman also won a Booster Club award.[[In-content Ad]]
