Tippecanoe Valley Announces Make-Up Day Schedule
July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.
By Staff Report-
Students will attend school March 21 and May 30.
Two additional days will be made up by adding one hour of instructional time to the end of the normal school day starting March 3 through March 18.
For every six hours of extended instructional time, the Indiana Department of Education allows schools to make up a missed instructional day. If school is cancelled for any reason during this 12-day period, one hour of instructional time will be added to the next school day following the 12-day period.
This plan for making up the remaining four instructional days allows students to receive additional instruction prior to high stakes testing (ISTEP+, IREAD3 and End-of-Course Assessments in Algebra 1 and English 10) used by IDOE as measures of individual student and school accountability.
Any additional cancellation days will be made up the week of June 2-6.
Questions pertaining to the Tippecanoe Valley Make Up Day Schedule may be directed to the building principal of the school your child attends.[[In-content Ad]]
