Tipp. Valley Announces Summer Swim Classes

AKRON – Free swim lessons will be available to patrons of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation during its Summer Learn-to-Swim program.
There will be four different levels offered during a 10-day session starting June 4 and ending June 17.
The Parent and Child class is for children 6 months to 3 years of age and a parent must be in the water with the child.
The Level 1 - Beginners class is for children who will become comfortable in the water and introduced to basic skills.
The Level 2 - Fundamental Skills class is for children who will learn to swim on their front and back using the appropriate skills.
The Level 3 - Stroke Development class will build on the skills previously learned in level 2.  
The Level 3 class runs from 1 to 1:35 p.m., followed by two Level 2 classes from 1:45 to 2:20 and 2:30 to 3:05 p.m.
The Level 1 class runs from 3:15 to 3:50 p.m. followed by the Parent and Child class from 4 to 4:20 p.m.
Class size is limited and children are subject to change classes due to ability level.
