Times-Union Plans Salute To Armed Forces

To support and thank the men and women from Kosciusko County who are serving in the military, whether at home or abroad, the Times-Union is planning a special feature for May 19 (Armed Forces Day).

Deadline for submissions is May 10.

If you have a parent, child, grandchild or sibling serving in any branch of the military, mail or drop off a picture and information about them to the Times-Union.[[In-content Ad]]

Information should be limited to the veteran's full name, age, branch of service, length of service, rank, unit, job title, hometown, parents, spouse, children, high school graduated from, college or technical school, and where the serviceman currently is stationed.

The serviceman or woman should be a current or former resident of the Times-Union circulation area, which includes all of Kosciusko County and adjacent towns of Bourbon, North Manchester, South Whitley and Nappanee. If they are former residents, please note where they lived.

To have a picture returned to you, you must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Pictures also can be picked up at the Times-Union after May 20.

Mail or deliver the pictures and information to "Supporting The Troops," c/o David Slone, Times-Union, P.O. Box 1448, Warsaw, IN 46581. Information and a photo also can be e-mailed to [email protected] Please put "Supporting the Troops" in the subject line. Photos should be jpegs.
