Superior Court III
The following violations were recently admitted and adjudged in Kosciusko Superior Court II with Judge Joe V. Sutton presiding. Unless otherwise indicated, the conviction is for a Class D felony. The month the incident occurred is included to eliminate confusion.
The following people also paid $125.50 in court costs during sentencing between May 2 and May 31:
Driving While Intoxicated - Fined $100 in September 1999; sentenced to two years in prison; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee; and driving privileges suspended one year was Kevin H. Johnson, 42, Warsaw.
Fined $100 in December; sentenced to three years in jail, of which one year was suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended one year was Danny L. Hale, 48, Mentone.
Fined $100 in December; sentenced to two years in jail, of which all but 90 days was suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel, to make restitution for any property damage related to this case and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended one year was James B. Thomas, 28, Leesburg. The jail term can be served in the work release program if Thomas is qualified and accepted to it.
Fined $300 in February; sentenced to three years in jail, of which one year was suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel, and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended one year was Shane A. Bradley, 26, Warsaw. The jail term was ordered served consecutively to another conviction in this court and can be served in the work release program if Bradley is qualified and accepted to it.
Fined $200 in February; sentenced to three years in jail, of which 1-1/2 years were suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee; and driving privileges suspended two years was Shane A. Bradley, 26, Warsaw. The jail term was ordered served consecutively to another conviction in this court and can be served in the work release program if Bradley is qualified and accepted to it.
Driving While Intoxicated (Class A misdemeanor) - Fined $100 in May; given a one-year jail sentence, with all but 60 days suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program; and driving privileges suspended one year was Jose F. Saucedo, 41, Warsaw.
Fined $100 in May; sentenced to one year in jail, of which all but 30 days was suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program and to make restitution for any property damage related to this case;and driving privileges suspended one year was Christopher A. Warrix, 25, Warsaw. The jail term can be served in the work release program if Warrix is qualified and accepted to it.
Fined $50 in April; sentenced to one year in jail, of which all but 60 days was suspended for probation; and ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program was Anthony W. Jones, 26, Warsaw. The jail term can be served in the work release program if Jones is qualified and accepted to it.
Jones also was ordered to pay $75.50 in court costs for possession of paraphernalia, a Class A infraction.
Habitual Traffic Violator - Fined $200 in January; given a three-year jail sentence, of which 1-1/2 years were suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended for life was Junior R. Hale, 35, Warsaw.
Fined $200 in February; given a three-year jail sentence, of which two years were suspended for probation; ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program, to attend a session of the Drunk Driving Impact Panel and to pay a $300 state alcohol countermeasure fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended for life was Roger Purnell, 41, Cromwell.
Nonsupport Of A Child - Fined $1 in January; given a three-year suspended jail sentence; and ordered to pay current child support, plus $20 per week toward arrearage was Paul B. Nine, 19, Pierceton.
Fined $1 in December; sentenced to three years in jail, of which two years were suspended for probation; and ordered to pay current child support, plus $1,500 per year toward arrearage was Joseph Williams, 23, Warsaw. The jail term can be served in work release if Williams is qualified for and accepted to the program.
Fined $1 in April; given a three-year suspended jail sentence; and ordered to pay current child support, plus $2,000 during his first year of probation, $2,500 during the second year of his probation and the balance due during the third year of probation on his arrearage, was Lance D. Knoop, 41, Warsaw.
Fined $1 in March; given a three-year suspended jail sentence; and ordered to pay current child support, plus $2,000 during his first year of probation, $2,500 during the second year of his probation and the balance due during the third year of probation on his arrearage, was Lance D. Knoop, 41, Warsaw.
Fined $1 in August; sentenced to eight years in jail, of which six years were suspended for probation; and ordered to pay current child support, plus $3,000 per year toward his arrearage, was Joseph Savant, 38, South Whitley. The jail term was ordered served consecutively to a Whitley County conviction and can be served in the work release program if Savant is qualified for and accepted to it.
