Superior Court III
The following violations were recently admitted and adjudged in Kosciusko Superior Court II with Judge Joe V. Sutton presiding. Unless otherwise indicated, the conviction is for a Class D felony. The month the incident occurred is included to eliminate confusion.
The following people also paid $125.50 in court costs during sentencing between Feb. 22 and March 30:
Driving While Intoxicated - Fined $100 in November; sentenced to three years in prison, of which one year was suspended for probation; ordered to make restitution to the city of Warsaw for damage done to a patrol car, to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $15 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center; and driving privileges suspended two years was Victor D. Ceballos, 25, Warsaw. Ceballos also was sentenced to three years in prison, of which one year was suspended for probation, and his driving privileges are suspended for life for a charge of being a habitual traffic violator, a Class D felony.
Fined $100 in October; sentenced to one year in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 60 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center and to attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Christopher G. Tripp, 25, Warsaw.
Sentenced to three years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which two years were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center; and driving privileges suspended one year was Brent D. Corl, 33, Warsaw. Corl also was sentenced to one year in jail, ordered to pay a $200 drug interdiction fee and his driving privileges are suspended 180 days for possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor. The jail terms were ordered served concurrently.
Fined $300 in November; sentenced to three year in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which two years were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center and to attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Shaun M. Church, 24, Syracuse.
Fined $100 in December; sentenced to two years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 90 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center and to attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Dustan R. Gesaman, 28, Leesburg.
Fined $100 in January; sentenced to two years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 90 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center and to attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was John W. Petro Jr., 22, Winona Lake.
Fined $200 in November; sentenced to three years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 120 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete the Veterans Administration alcohol treatment program; and driving privileges suspended two years was John L. Neer, 71, Warsaw. Neer also was sentenced to three years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 120 days were suspended for probation, for resisting law enforcement, a Class D felony. The terms were ordered served concurrently.
Fined $1 in May; sentenced to three years in prison; ordered to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee; and driving privileges suspended two years was Kevin Clifton, 24, Warsaw.
Fined $100 in February 2000; sentenced to 1-1/2 years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 60 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center; and driving privileges suspended one year was Patricia J. Stewart, 54, North Webster.
Fined $100 in November; sentenced to two years in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 90 days were suspended for probation; ordered to make restitution for any property damage resulting from this incident and to pay a $300 state alcohol interdiction fee; to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center; and driving privileges suspended one year was Hector Martinez Mena, 31, Silver Lake. Mena also was sentenced to 60 days in jail and his driving privileges were suspended 180 days for failure to stop after damage to vehicle, a Class C misdemeanor. The jail terms were ordered served concurrently.
Fined $100 in December; sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee; and driving privileges suspended three years was Angel Rosendo, 21, Pierceton. Rosendo also was sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison and his driving privileges are suspended three years for failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury, a Class D felony. The jail terms were ordered served consecutively and can be served in work release if Rosendo is qualified for and accepted to the program.
Nonsupport Of A Child - Fined $1 in April 2000; sentenced to three years in prison, of which 1-1/2 years were suspended for probation; and ordered to pay a $15 initial and $5 monthly probation user's fee and child support as it becomes due, plus $4,000 per year on probation toward arrearage was Tharon C. Smith, 25, Goshen.
Fined $1 in October; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay a $15 initial and $5 monthly probation user's fee and child support as it becomes due, plus $25 per week toward arrearage was Evlyn Wooldridge, 28, Warsaw.
Fined $1 in October; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay a $15 initial and $5 monthly probation user's fee and child support as it becomes due, plus $31.25 per week toward arrearage was Ronald L. Mann, 26, Angola. Mann must also remain gainfully employed and must apply his 2000 tax refund toward the arrearage.
Fined $1 in January; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay child support as it becomes due, plus $40 per week and $2,500 per year toward arrearage was Edward Shell, 39, Markle.
Fined $1 in January; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay child support as it becomes due, plus $21 per week toward arrearage was Jeffery M. Lackey, 28, Winona Lake.
Fined $1 in September; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay child support as it becomes due, plus $3,000 per year toward arrearage was Terry O. Green Jr., 28, Indianapolis.
Given a three-year suspended jail sentence and ordered to pay child support as it becomes due, plus $750 per year toward arrearage, was Mark J. McCormack, 24, Noblesville.
Driving While Intoxicated (Class A Misdemeanor) - Fined $25 in February; sentenced to one year in the Kosciusko County Jail, of which all but 60 days was suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee and a $15 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee, to complete an alcohol treatment program at Bowen Center and to attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Jonathan E. Rule, 23, Warsaw.
Fined $1 in September; sentenced to three years in prison, of which six months were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee; and driving privileges suspended two years was Lowell K. Collins, 34, Etna Green. The judge cited Collins' medical problems as a mitigating factor and his criminal history and lack of remorse as aggravating factors in sentencing considerations.
Habitual Traffic Violator (Class A Misdemeanor) - Fined $200 in November, sentenced to 90 days in the Kosciusko County Jail and driving privileges suspended two years was Melissa Murphy-Estep, 36, Warsaw.
Criminal Conversion (Class A Misdemeanor) - Fined $25 in November was David C. Reed, Syracuse.
Habitual Traffic Offender - Fined $100 in July, sentenced to six months in the Kosciusko County Jail and driving privileges suspended for life was Jeffrey Frazier, 30, Pierceton.

Mena also was sentenced to 60 days in jail and his driving privileges were suspended 180 days for failure to stop after damage to vehicle, a Class C misdemeanor. The jail terms were ordered served concurrently.
Fined $100 in December; sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison; ordered to pay a $200 state alcohol interdiction fee; and driving privileges suspended three years was Angel Rosendo, 21, Pierceton. Rosendo also was sentenced to 1-1/2 years in prison and his driving privileges are suspended three years for failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury, a Class D felony. The jail terms were ordered served consecutively and can be served in work release if Rosendo is qualified for and accepted to the program.
Nonsupport Of A Child - Fined $1 in April 2000; sentenced to three years in prison, of which 1-1/2 years were suspended for probation; and ordered to pay a $15 initial and $5 monthly probation user's fee and child support as it becomes due, plus $4,000 per year on probation toward arrearage was Tharon C. Smith, 25, Goshen.
Fined $1 in October; given a three-year suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay a $15 initial and $5 monthly probation user's fee and child support as it becomes due, plus $25 per week toward arrearage was Evlyn Wooldridge, 28, Warsaw.
