Superior Court III
The following violation were recently admitted and adjudged in Kosciusko Superior Court III with Judge Joe V. Sutton presiding. Unless otherwise indicated, the conviction is for a Class D felony. The month the incident occurred is included to eliminate confusion.
The following people also paid $129.50 in court costs during sentencing in January:
Driving While Intoxicated - Fined $70.50 from a November offense; sentenced to 24 months in jail, of which 22 months were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete an alcohol treatment program and attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Michael R. Vanderford, 40, North Manchester. The jail term can be served in work release if Vanderford is qualified for and accepted to it.
Vanderford also was sentenced to six months probation for battery, a Class B misdemeanor, and ordered to pay a $50 domestic violence fee.
Fined $120.50 from a September offense; sentenced to 1-1/2 years in jail, of which all but 60 days were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete an alcohol treatment program and attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Richard Wayne Martin, 31, Cromwell. The jail term can be served in work release if Martin is qualified for and accepted to it.
Fined $20.50 from a October offense; sentenced to three years in jail, of which two years were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $200 alcohol interdiction fee and a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee and to complete an alcohol treatment program and attend a Drunk Driving Impact Panel meeting; and driving privileges suspended one year was Jason D. Lewis, 28, Syracuse. The jail term can be served in work release if Lewis is qualified for and accepted to it.

Frazier, 31, Pierceton. The jail term can be served in work release if Frazier is qualified for and accepted to it.
Habitual Traffic Violator - Fined $370.50 from a July offense; sentenced to four years in jail, of which two years were suspended for probation; ordered to pay a $50 initial and $15 monthly probation user's fee; and driving privileges suspended for life was Thomas G. Kinch, 38, Pierceton.
Fined $49.50 from an August offense; sentenced to 1-1/2 years in jail, of which one years was suspended for probation; ordered to reimburse Kosciusko County $350 in public defender fees; and driving privileges suspended 10 years was Donald L. Combs, 28, Syracuse.
Nonsupport Of A Child - Sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay child support as it becomes due, plus $100 per month toward arrearage, was Daniel J. Gillum, 24, Pierceton.
