Three Arrested on Drug Charges in Akron

AKRON – Three people were arrested Wednesday on drug-related charges.

At approximately 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in Akron.

Ronald Lambert Sr., 71; Ronald Lambert Jr., 48; and Karen Prater, 34, were arrested on preliminary charges of dealing schedule II controlled substances, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of stolen property.

Deputies searched the home of Lambert Sr., 2097 S. CR 700E, as a part of an ongoing joint drug investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and Kosciusko County Drug Task Force.

Both agencies found stolen items in the home from thefts and burglaries from surrounding counties.  Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. detectives are working to find the victims and cases associated with the arrest.

Prater was arrested in December for  aiding, abetting and inducing burglary, a Class B felony, and driving while suspended. The charges stemmed from an attempted robbery and shooting in Silver Lake.

Prater was previously arrested in November on a forgery count as well.
