Warsaw Police responded Wednesday with the Indiana Department of Child Services on an investigation at the Economy Inn in Warsaw.
Officers located Janelle Hall, 23, and her brother, Nicholas Hall, 22, both of Warsaw. Both had warrants for their arrest out of Kosciusko County and they were taken into custody.
Officers located drug paraphernalia and “spice” in the hotel room while Janelle’s young children were present, according to a press release from Warsaw Police Department. DCS took protective custody of the children.
At the time of the arrests, officers observed an LG flat screen television in the room similar to one that had been stolen in a burglary two days earlier. Further investigation found that the television was stolen during a residential burglary on West Winona Avenue in Warsaw on Monday.
Additional investigation and interviews produced a third suspect, Rodney Holloway, 30, Warsaw. With this information, Warsaw Police investigators were able to solve several recent burglaries and thefts.
Besides the West Winona Avenue home burglary, detectives solved a recent burglary at Pizza King West and burglaries to the laundromat and convenience store in Oswego.
Attempted burglaries to Little Hawk’s Knives and Collectibles and the South Buffalo Street Laundromat were also resolved. Investigators also found that Nicholas Hall and Holloway had broken into the abandoned, burned out Cigarettes Plus on North Lake Street and stolen copper that they scraped for cash. United States Postal Inspectors also questioned the three regarding stolen mail from the Chapman Lake and Lincoln Park areas in November.
Nicholas and Holloway were both charged with class B felony residential burglary, burglary to a business, and two counts each of theft. Both are being held at the Kosciusko County Jail with no bond.
Janelle Hall was charged with felony theft and receiving stolen property. She is being held on $2,000 surety bond.
Warsaw police were assisted in their investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, the Indiana Department of Child Services, the United States Postal Service and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
