Three people were arrested after breaking into a Cromwell store last Wednesday morning to steal lottery tickets and cigarettes.
According to an affidavit provided by the Noble County Prosector’s Office, Justin H. Mickem, 31, and Kendra Ann Rodriguez, 20, both of North Webster, and Christian M. McQuade, 19, Warsaw, were charged with burglary and theft – both felonies.
The affidavit states that at approximately 3 a.m. Aug. 21, two individuals entered the Town & Country Mercantile, 3753 N. CR 900W, Cromwell, through broken glass in the front doors. The individuals then stole lottery tickets, the lottery ticket display case and cigarettes, then left the property. The suspects were later identified as McQuade and Mickem.
Later that day, McQuade allegedly entered the Freedom Express in North Webster and attempted to cash lottery tickets that had been reported stolen. Police arrested McQuade, who identified Mickem and Rodriguez as co-actors.
Rodriguez had also entered a gas station and attempted to cash a lottery ticket that had been reported as stolen, according to the affidavit.[[In-content Ad]]
