William and Mary Jane Thompson, Leesburg, will mark their 50th wedding anniversary June 1, 2008. William Thompson and Mary Jane Moore were married June 1, 1958, at Presbyterian Church in LaPorte, with the Rev Arthur Powell officiating.

He retired from Dana Syracuse after 41 years. She retired from 25 years of teaching at North Webster and Wolf Lake Schools.

The couple have three children: Alan (and spouse) Julia Thompson, Wakarusa; Connie (and spouse Jeff) Kaiser, Albion; James (and spouse Nancy) Thompson, Novi Mich. They have six grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house at the North Webster Community Center May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m.
