MILFORD – Thomas “Tom” Edward Gaskill, 84, Milford, passed away Feb. 28, 2014, in his Englewood, Fla., winter home after an extended illness.
He was born May 7, 1929, in Mishawaka, to Joseph and Marchia Sheets Gaskill. He was married to Yvonne Janette Haines, who preceded him in death. He was remarried Nov. 14, 2004, in Goshen, to Laurine Haines Waldbeser, who survives in Milford.
He was a truck driver for more than 25 years and attended the Ligonier Evangelical Church, Sunnybrook Alliance Church, Englewood, and was an avid bowler.
Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle Moseley, Sarasota, Fla.; a son, Mark (and spouse Pamela) Gaskill, Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren: Thomas Bailey, Nichole Gibbs and Kasey Gaskill; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Robin and Paul Bailey; four step-great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Kay Kuhn, Milford; a stepson, Ben (and Deb Skevington) Waldbeser, Milford; a sister, Fran (and spouse Sonny) Lazar, Ruskin, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph (and spouse Kathy) Gaskill, Lithia, Fla., and Harold (and spouse Mary) Gaskill, Riverview, Fla.; and a nephew, Dennis (and spouse Linda) Beadle, Syracuse. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Christopher; his foster parents, John and Clara Bixler; and three foster sisters, Vera Beadle, Erma Johnson and Gladys Wagner.  
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with Pastor Troy Diersing and the Rev. Mitchell Hile officiating. A private family burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Milford, is entrusted with arrangements.
