He was born July 15, 1929, in Syracuse, to Ralph and Eloise Mabie Method. On Sept. 10, 1954, in Syracuse, he married Marjorie “Jo” Solina, who preceded him in death Oct. 26, 2005.
He was a lifetime Syracuse area resident, attended Syracuse High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired in 1994 from Homecrest Cabinetry in Goshen after 15 years of service. He formerly farmed, raised hogs and worked at Vega Industries in Syracuse. He formerly attended the Syracuse Church of God.
Surviving are a daughter, Alyson (and Joe) Savage, Syracuse; a grandson, Hayden Savage, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Jean Robinson, Syracuse. He also was preceded in death by his parents.
Military graveside services will be at noon Thursday at Syracuse Cemetery, Mill Street, Syracuse, with Pastor David Herr, former minister of Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse, officiating. Lunch will follow graveside services at Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse.
Owen Family Funeral Home & Monuments, Syracuse, is entrusted with arrangements.
