Thelma Stackhouse Whinery, 98, of Warsaw, died at 9:45 a.m. March 29, 2010, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw.

She was born Aug. 11, 1911, in Marion, to Frank and Emma Havens Stackhouse. In March 1941, in Marion, she married Ed Whinery, who died in 1995.

Moving to Warsaw from California in 1996, she worked at Dehl Electric, Marion.

Surviving are a brother, Jack Stackhouse, Warsaw; a nephew, Larry (and spouse Tammy) Stackhouse, Warsaw; three nieces: Jackie (and spouse Norm) Wolfe, Warren; Karen (and spouse Jerry) Deeter, Upland; and Patricia Tabor, Jonesboro; and several great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Vickery, who died in 1982.

No services or calling are planned. Burial will be at a later date in California.
