Theater Program Offered For Students

ROCHESTER – The Akron Area Arts League is sponsoring an eight-session study in theater for students who will have completed sixth through 12th grades.
The camp will be in the Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson St., Rochester, from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning June 6 through 9 and continuing June 13 through 16.
Maria Kelsay, former English and drama teacher at Rochester High School, will lead the group in the basic elements of theater, from set design and stage lighting to makeup, stage combat and improvisation. A field trip to see a live theatrical performance will be planned.
Cost is $50 per student. Send registration along with a check made payable to AAAL to PO Box 702, Akron, IN 46910.  Priority will be given to students from the Rochester, Tippecanoe Valley, Caston, North Miami and North Manchester school districts. The registration form can be found on the AAAL web site at www.akronareaarts.weebly.com or call 574-598-2875 to register. Seats are limited.
