A suspect who reportedly jumped out a window of a home and fled from police while a telephone search warrant was being processed was taken into custody a short time later with the aid of a police dog.

Sabastian Jarski, 18, of 11226 N.E. Wawasee Drive, Syracuse, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of theft, resisting/fleeing law enforcement and theft/receiving stolen property. He is being held on $2,000 bond.

Warsaw police were preparing to search a home in the 2700 block of Glad Street that belongs to Jarski's father when he allegedly jumped from a window of the home and fled.

Police were led to the home after executing a search warrant at the home of Benjamin Keller, 16, of 713 E. Smith St., Warsaw.

Jarski, Keller and Keller's brother, Bryan Keller, 18, were implicated in the recent break-ins along Winona Avenue by another suspect. Drew Allen Krichbaum, 16, of Winona Lake, was reportedly caught inside Premier Realtors on East Winona Avenue after police found a window air conditioner on the ground outside the business about 3:21 a.m. Tuesday.

Charges of burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and curfew violation are pending against Krichbaum in connection with the Premier Realtors incident. He also reportedly admitted his involvement in the Warsaw Medical Arts Building break-in Monday night.

Police noted that Krichbaum had a fresh cut on his arm and that blood was found on a broken window at the Medical Arts Building.

Krichbaum told police that he gave two laptop computers taken from REAL Services in the office building on Winona Avenue to Jarski, who was to sell the items and give Krichbaum a portion of the proceeds.

One of the computers was reportedly already sold, but police believed the other might be in the Glad Street residence. However, when police knocked at the door of the Jarski home, nobody answered despite a car being at the residence that belonged to Bryan Keller.

Benjamin Keller was awakened at the Smith Street home and reportedly told police that the cigarettes in the home were taken from La Joyita/La Pasadita during one of two recent break-ins there. He told police that Krichbaum returned after Monday's break-in and was bragging about the fact that he committed the crime, but the younger Keller denied any involvement. However, he later admitted being with Krichbaum during an Aug. 1 break-in to the Mexican food store. Benjamin Keller is being charged with burglary and theft. He also told police that his brother and Jarski could be found at the Glad Street residence.

A warrant will be issued for Bryan Keller on a charge of aiding, inducing or causing theft due to his involvement of handling the stolen items.

The Kellers' mother and Jarski's father are reportedly vacationing together out of the country and the teens were left on their own. Krichbaum's mother reported her son as a runaway about a week ago and it is believed he has been staying at the Keller residence. [[In-content Ad]]
