Teen Charged In Two Burglaries

By Staff Report-

An alleged burglar was caught red-handed in a Warsaw business and the suspect also reportedly confessed to another break-in.

Joseph H. Bradshaw Jr., 17, of 920 E. Market St., Warsaw, was preliminarily charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft after being apprehended at Fletcher's Grocery on North Park Avenue in Warsaw.

Bradshaw was caught in the store by Warsaw police after the owner of the business, who lives next door, called police about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday and said someone was in the store.

Police reportedly removed cash and cigarettes from Bradshaw's pockets. He told police he got in by breaking a basement window. Because the hole Bradshaw squeezed through to get in was small, they also questioned him about a Saturday break-in to Video Plus on East Winona Avenue, where a small hole was knocked in a wall to gain entry there. He allegedly admitted to breaking in, but said he didn't take anything from that business.

Because Bradshaw is a juvenile, the matter was turned over to probation. [[In-content Ad]]
