Teddy L. “Ted” Bolinger, 73, of Warsaw, died Oct. 10, 2012, during a short stay in the hospital.

He was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Warsaw, to Carl J. and Bernice Wolfe Bolinger.

He was a 1956 graduate of Warsaw High School and served in the U.S. Navy. SK3 Teddy Lowell Bolinger was honorably discharged Sept. 6, 1962. He was an engineer at DePuy for more than 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a former chief of Winona Lake Fire Department. He was an avid WCHS basketball fan and fisherman. He was an expert woodworker and leathersmith. He loved working with his hands and being outdoors. He was a former member of the Indiana Appaloosa Association. He was a life of any party and the last to leave. He was an excellent dad, grandpa and brother.

Surviving are two sons, Monty (and spouse Jennifer) Bolinger, Noblesville, and Ricky Bolinger, Wabash; four grandchildren: Bryan, Scott, Michael and Danielle; two sisters, Wendy (and spouse Norm) Benzing, Warsaw, and Carla (and spouse Robert) Bullock, Durham, N.C.; and a brother, Larry (and spouse Sue) Bolinger, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Ann Bolinger, and his parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
