He was born March 1, 1937, in Roann, to Homer and Helen Baker Hudson. He was formerly married to Joan Jamison.
He graduated from Laketon High School in 1956 and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-62. He retired from Wabash National, Silver Lake, and formerly worked at Schuler Farms, Blue Flame Gas Co. and Franger Gas Co. His hobbies included drag racing and stock car racing. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, I.U. basketball and NASCAR fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Sonya L. Hudson, Lafayette; a sister, Donnabelle (and spouse Robert) Rider, Sidney; two brothers, Jordan (and spouse Ann) Hudson, Roann, and Dean (and spouse Barbara) Hudson, Silver Lake; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Leigh Hudson, who died in 1971.
Services will be at noon Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Denny Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of Warsaw American Legion Post 49 and Warsaw Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126.
Calling will be two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
