WINONA LAKE – A techno-glow run and walk 5K has been planned this month to raise funds for Honduras.
The event is Sept. 18 at 7:15 p.m. at Winona Lake Trails.
Pre-register at www.runsignup.com The cost is $20 pre-registration and $25 on race day.
All proceeds will go toward supporting people in Northeast Honduras in their fight against poverty, according to Bradee Conley, race chair.
A group from Winona Lake has traveled as part of Humanity & Hope United Foundation this week to assist with agricultural projects.
Humanity & Hope assists international non-profit organizations that seek to inspire more hope, generate more opportunities, and create better living conditions in order to empower the Honduran communities.
“Money raised during the fundraiser will help people in Honduras with clean water, education and creating jobs,” Conley said.
Sponsors include K21 Health Foundation, Silveus Insurance, Sym Financial, Wildman Business Group and Kosciusko Runners Association.
Redwood Grill will donate 10 percent of its sales Sept. 18 and 19 to assist those in Honduras.[[In-content Ad]]
