Taste Of The Lakes Set For Sept. 18

The Tippecanoe Environmental Lake and Watershed Foundation plans an evening of food and drink served by some of the finest restaurants in Kosciusko County.

The second annual Taste of the Lakes is Sept. 18, from 2 to 5 pm, in the North Webster Community Center. Advance tickets are $15, available at the A-1 Maytag Appliance Center, 4671 Ind. 13, North Webster, and the North Webster Community Center office. Tickets also will be available at the door for $20. Tickets for kids 8 and younger are $10. Tickets are limited.

Sample specialty dishes from area restaurants such as Noa Noa, Barbee Landing, The Blue Lion, Hacienda, Big Apple Bagel, Subway, Neva's Place, Channel Marker, Chi Am, Hacienda, Pirates Cove and more. A cash bar hosted by Ye Olde Pub will be available. Buy a raffle ticket and take a chance to win an O'Brien Rail wakeboard with bindings, valued at $250. You don't have to be present to win, but you do have to buy your ticket the night of the event.

All proceeds from the Taste of the Lakes will benefit the Tippecanoe Environmental Lake & Watershed Foundation, a non-profit organization in North Webster. The foundation works with residents, lake associations and agencies to protect and improve water quality in the lakes of the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed, including the Barbee Lake chain, Big Lake, Crooked Lake, Goose Lake, Loon Lake, Webster Lake and Tippecanoe Lake.
