Tanya L. Sisk-Wise, 59, Mentone, died at 7:13 a.m. Jan. 27, 2012, in her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 23, 1952, in Warsaw, to Jack and Doris Warren Sisk.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she was a caseworker for Family and Social Service Administration and Affiliated Computer Service for 21 years, retiring Dec. 31. She graduated from Mentone High School in 1970 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1974. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and fishing. She looked forward to the yearly trips to Florida for the sun and beaches. She enjoyed football and was a Green Bay Packer fan. She loved her family - especially her grandchildren. She had a no nonsense kind of spirit who was right even if her sons thought she was wrong. She was the baby of the family who carried the family characteristic of being stubborn well.
Surviving are two sons, Charlie (and spouse Julia) Wise, Shreveport, La., and Casey (and spouse Lacey) Wise, Claypool; a brother, Bill (and spouse Carol) Sisk, Claypool; a sister, Marsha Sisk-Rinearson, Warsaw; three grandsons, David and Fletcher Wise and Jamasyn Virgil; two granddaughters, Audra Brown and Hadley Wise; and longtime friend, Brian Duke, Claypool. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Sisk, who died April 6, 1954, and her mother, Doris Sisk, who died Oct. 10, 1998.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten of Mentone United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
