TIPP CITY, Ohio – T. Ramona “Punky Coddington” Bowling Mason, 85, Tipp City and formerly of Troy, Ohio, died peacefully April 7, 2014, at her residence.
She was born to Milton V. and Mae M. Coddington. She was married to James F. Bowling, who died in 1968. She was then married to Howard Mason, who survives.
She was a 1947 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. She retired from the Tipp City Public Library. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 586 in Tipp City. She attended the Middle District Church of the Brethren and was a member of and enjoyed traveling with the Tipp City Senior Citizens group.
She is also survived by her son, Dr. James E. (and spouse Karen) Bowling; a daughter, Donna Jean Taylor; three stepchildren: Verdena (and spouse Jack) Stethen and Sharon Baysinger, both of Arizona; and Dan (and spouse Ronda) Mason, Kansas; three grandchildren: Eric (and spouse Kristine) Bowling, Susan (and spouse Nate) Wessels and Serena Nelson; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Margaret “Fritz” Yetter; two brothers, James V. and Kenneth D. “Cub” Coddington; and her parents.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, with Dr. Greg Ryerson officiating.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
