Shawnie Ann Green, 45, of 519 Inwood Circle, Syracuse, was arrested Tuesday at 7:49 a.m. for burglary by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the probable cause affidavit provided by Kosciusko County courts, the resident woke up to find a cut screen from his back window, food missing from his cabinets, and Green asleep on his basement floor. He then immediately contacted law enforcement.
When officers arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the screen had been cut out of the window and Green was still asleep in the basement. Beside Green on the floor was two Kool-Aid packages and three grinder pads, all belonging to the resident.
Green admitted to KCSD that she was in an altercation with her girlfriend and left her residence. She then admitted to removing the window and cutting the screen.[[In-content Ad]]
