Syracuse Parade

The Wawasee Marching Warrior Band was one of dozens of entries in Monday’s Memorial Day Parade in Syracuse.

The parade stepped off at 1:30 p.m. and headed north on Ind. 13 from Medusa Street. As the parade crossed a bridge on Ind. 13, a wreath was dropped into the water to remember fallen sailors and a 21-gun salute was performed.

The parade continued to Main Street and then to Syracuse Cemetery where a memorial program was hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1342. The Ladies Auxiliary placed a wreath and a second 21-gun salute was peformed.

The ceremony ended with a rendition of Taps.[[In-content Ad]]
