Syracuse Man Pleads Guilty In Pizza Hut Robbery

A second man involved in the New Year's Eve robbery of Syracuse Pizza Hut pleaded guilty in Kosciusko Superior Court 1 Tuesday.
Robert Lafollette, 18, of Syracuse, pleaded guilty to charges of criminal confinement and armed robbery, both class B felonies, and faces up to 40 years in prison.
Lafollette reportedly admitted to being the gunman during the incident, where he and two other men forced nine Pizza Hut employees into a walk-in cooler while they stole $3,400 from the cash registers.
Nicholas Ashkins, 17, of South Whitley, one of the three involved, pleaded guilty to the same charges in late April. He is scheduled for sentencing Thursday.
The last man allegedly involved, Ryan Kennelley, 17, Syracuse, plans to stand trial in November. He also was charged with criminal confinement and armed robbery. [[In-content Ad]]
