Syracuse Man Dies In Fire On Pickwick Drive

SYRACUSE -ÊA Syracuse man is dead after a fire at a residence at 402 Pickwick early Sunday.

Syracuse Fire Department received a smoke complaint and a report of a smoke detector going off at 1:17 a.m. Sunday.

A fireman was dispatched to investigate and found a campfire burning next door to the 402 Pickwick address.

Upon further investigation, the fireman noticed the windows of the house next door appeared black, indicating the house was filled with smoke.

A fire crew then was dispatched to the residence and a single victim was found inside.

The Syracuse Fire Department is currently investigating the blaze, and further information - including the identity of the victim - was unavailable at press time. [[In-content Ad]]
