Syracuse Cops Raid Suspected Meth Lab

SYRACUSE - Two Syracuse men were arrested Tuesday on drug-related charges.
Jason S. Morrow, 28, of 304 E. Maple Grove St., Syracuse, and Charles R. Losee, 32, of 207 E. Bowser Road, Syracuse, are being held in the Elkhart County Jail, Goshen.
Morrow is being charged by Goshen Police with possession of marijuana and possession of precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamines. Losee is being charged with possession of precursors to the manufacture of methamphetamines and possession of narcotic drugs/methamphetamines. No bond is set.
In addition, Syracuse Police Department is forwarding charges on both men to the Kosciusko County prosecutor of dealing in methamphetamines within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex (Class A felony); possession of methamphetamines within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex (Class A felony); and possession of anhydrous ammonia with the intent to manufacture methamphetamines within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex (Class C felony).
According to a Syracuse Police Department press release, at approximately 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, officers from Syracuse and Goshen police departments searched 304 Maple Grove St., Syracuse. During the search, officers uncovered a methamphetamine lab in a garage behind the residence.
SPD and Syracuse Fire Department officials helped remove hazardous material from the building and contacted the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team. Upon arrival, ISP secured the area and dismantled the lab. Evidence was seized along with a large quantity of processed methamphetamine.
The search warrant was obtained through the joint cooperation of the Goshen and Syracuse police departments. Goshen police already had placed Morrow and Losee under arrest early Tuesday, at which time they learned of the Syracuse methamphetamine lab location.
