FORT WAYNE – Despite a rocky economy, Winona Lake-based SYM Financial Advisors is expanding, opening a Fort Wayne office to better serve its established Fort Wayne clients and offer its expertise to new clients.

Says SYM Senior Vice President Stephen Yeager, “This office opening is actually overdue, since our business in Fort Wayne has been growing for the past five years.”

Yeager said that people typically choose one of four resources for their financial planning and investment advice: banks, brokers, insurance agents and independent investment advisors.

SYM’s business model allows its independent advisors to truly work with their clients’ best interests at heart because they aren’t tied to specific companies and they receive no commissions. More and more investors are recognizing this fact and are choosing an independent advisor who will get to know them personally.

Established 44 years ago, SYM has built a reputation on being client-focused, building trust and rapport, taking ownership of the investment process, and embracing traditional values.

“Other types of advisors have far more clients per advisor than what you will find when you work with SYM,” said Yeager. “We work on a much more personal level with our clients, and keeping our ratios low gives us the ability to give strong service and strong attention. That’s why people recommend us to their friends.”

SYM Vice Presidents Seth Whicker and Tom Ackmann will be headquartered in the Fort Wayne office, which opened on Jan. 16 at 7030 Pointe Inverness Way, Suite 100.

SYM Financial Advisers is an independent investment advisory firm, specializing in wealth management, portfolio management and retirement plan services for high net worth clients such as business owners, physicians, professionals, and executives.

The firm has offices in South Bend, Indianapolis, Winona Lake and Fort Wayne, Ind., and Midland, Mich.
