Dick and Kay Sutton, North Webster, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a private family lunch Oct. 3. After 3 p.m., there will be a public music concert at the North Webster United Methodist Church.

Dick and the former Kay Wible were married Oct. 4, 1959, at the Zion Lutheran Church, North Manchester, with the Rev. Homer Ogle presiding.

They lived in Kansas City for 25 years before returning to Webster Lake full time in 2001.

He retired from Prudential after 30 years then started Sutton Financial Services, which still exists. He has been an active barbershopper for 45 years and is now directing the Columbia City Chain O'Lakes Chorus. She just retired this year after 20 years as a travel agent.

They have three children: Mark (and spouse Mary) Sutton, Overland Park, Kan.; Todd (and spouse Jaymi) Sutton, Harrisonville, Mo.; and Julie (and spouse Gerardo) Davila, Murfreesboro, Tenn; and seven grandchildren.
