Supports Nisly

I am a Political Science major currently studying my second year at Indiana University. When not at school, I live in Kosciusko County. Over the past summer I had the opportunity to study the elections both nationally and locally and get involved with volunteer work as well as local campaigns. I understand that many voters are disinterested in the voting process as they feel that many candidates are unprincipled and out of touch. However, I personally feel that Curt Nisly is a major exception to this sentiment and would do Indiana House District 22 proud if he were elected.
I first met Curt in January of this year for breakfast at a local café. We discussed local politics, ambition and our interests. In our discussion, I found Curt to be a very principled man. He cared very deeply about serving the local community, hoping he would be able to represent them in Indianapolis since he felt many did not have the voice they needed in the state legislature. Indeed, he wanted to give voice to those who did not feel that they had one in government.
Another thing that made me believe Curt was a good choice for the district was what he valued. He told me that he wanted to reinstate local control in school. Growing up in the public education system, I found that many teachers and members of the school board did not support many of the policies that were being endorsed from Indianapolis and would have preferred more control in the class room. His views then would be heavily in line with the teachers I had. The other problem that I often came across was that many feel that the federal government has assumed too much power over the state laws. Nisly’s strong support for the 9th and 10th amendment would restore the state control people have been wanting and restore the balance of power between the state and federal governments. With what I have learned about its citizens while I was growing up in Kosciusko County, I can say without a doubt that Curt represents what we want and need from our state government.
Admittedly, I have met with the other candidates. While I find them to all be good men, Curt by far impresses me the most. He is driven, called to service, and believes strongly in the importance of the constitution. I believe that we need Curt Nisly in the State House because he is the best fit for the district and the one who can get the most accomplished. His commitment and his ideal impress me and they should impress you as well. Just remember that on Election Day, if you vote for Nisly then you have chosen wisely.
